Lesson Fees

All lessons are delivered at my home in Cheadle Heath, Stockport.

If you are considering lessons, but not sure which teacher will be best for you, I’m happy to arrange a 20 minute, free of charge, appointment where we can meet, introduce ourselves and discuss your musical goals and how I can help to achieve them. Just send me a quick request using the contact form found here.

And finally, I think it’s worth mentioning that I schedule my lessons so that every student will get a full hour of sitting down and learning with me. I plan in additional time for packing-up after your hour has finished and before the next student comes along. So there’s never any rush.

Standard Instrument Tuition Fees

During our first lesson we will likely talk about what your aspirations are, and how we should work towards them, which artists you enjoy and how much, or little, you want to concentrate on music theory. There will also be time to show you a few new tricks to practice until the next lesson.

I charge:

£30 per hour, or

£20 for 30 minutes.

Fortnightly lessons can be catered for in some instances.

Music Technology Lessons

During our first lesson we will likely talk about what elements of Music Technology you already know and what we need to look at in the coming weeks. If you’re on a GCSE, A-Level or Degree level Music Technology course then we can also discuss specific requirements for that.

If the lesson is to take place at my home address I charge:

£30 per hour, or

£20 for 30 minutes.

Due to extra cost, travel and shared income with Z-Arts, if the lesson is to take place at Studio Z I charge:

£35 per hour.

Group Lessons

If necessary I can accommodate two students at a time for £40 per hour. There are inherent complications with with teaching two students but if their ability and interests are similar it can be a good solution for those who may not be confident enough to come for lessons alone, or a nice way to split the lesson costs and save a little money.
